How to create a digital product campaign?

A digital product is a good or service accessible online, without a physical form. In the context of a campaign, a digital product takes the form of a unique code that you share with selected creators.

With this shared code, creators can place orders directly on your website and choose the product or service that suits them.

Why create this type of campaign?

It is useful to create a campaign with a digital product in cases such as:

  • Your product is not physical. For example: a movie session.
  • You have many variants. For example: shoe sizes or makeup shades.
  • You are launching a new collection and the influencer must choose between 2 assortments of products. For example: the influencer must choose whether they prefer to receive pants and a jacket or pants and a shirt.

How does it work?

When creating your campaign, go to the Product & Logistics step > Add a product.

Then go to Quantities & Logistics, click on Delivery Type > Digital Product.

1. Set up your campaign:

Codes:

Enter the unique codes assigned to each creator planned for your campaign.

The unique code prevents potential code sharing.

Ex: NEWCOLLECTION1, NEWCOLLECTION2, ...

Create your codes in advance in your CRM : Before configuring the campaign, you need to generate the codes in your own system (CRM, e-commerce site, promotion management tool…).
These codes allow influencers to place orders directly on your website.

Description:

Describe your project, share the link to your website, and the steps the influencer should follow.

Specify what influencers should purchase.

Once the creator is accepted, the code is sent to them automatically.

For this type of product, logistics management is different: When you accept creator profiles, they are automatically added to the Pending Content tab and not Ready to Ship.

2. Monitor code usage carefully

To identify influencers who have used their code and remind those who have not, go to the Pending Content tab, then click Export > Export the orders from this tab.

Then, in the Excel file, go to the Digital Code column and check which code each influencer received, so you can identify those who have not yet used it and follow up with them.

Promo code vs digital product code

  • The promo code is intended for the influencer's audience. It is given to the influencer, who then shares it with their audience so they can receive a discount when shopping on your site.
  • The digital product code is intended directly for the influencer. It gives them access to a product or service from your brand.
