What is a Campaign Brief, and why should I respect it?

In order to create the best possible collaboration, brands communicate a brief for each of their campaigns.

What is it?

The brief presents the campaign context: information about the brand, why the brand chose this product for this campaign, how to use the product, what the brand expects in terms of content, etc.

A quality campaign brief highlights these essential points:

  1. Information about the brand
  2. Campaign description
  3. The features that make the product unique
  4. Usage tips for the product
  5. The product(s) sent
  6. Transparency rules (hashtags, accounts to tag, etc.)
  7. Do’s & Don’ts to ensure you receive the best possible instructions

Why is it important?

The brief will make you want to apply and help you understand what is expected, ensuring that the content you create aligns with the brand's goals and maintains a consistent brand image.

It is a crucial tool for successful campaigns because it helps both you and the brands work together effectively to create the best possible content.

Some elements are particularly important:

  • Publication date: if the product needs to be launched on a specific date
  • Transparency rules: be sure to follow the transparency rules provided by the brand
  • Environment: settings, lighting, colors, etc.
  • Do’s & Don’ts: things to do or absolutely avoid
  • Moodboard: this section is designed to give you inspiration and help meet the Brand's visual expectations for the best possible outcome

Once the brief has been read and understood: all that's left is to have fun creating your best content!
